Our Team
Stuart taught for nearly three decades in mainstream and special schools. He was for seven years Head Teacher of an outstanding special school in East London specialising in supporting young people with emotional difficulties and behavioural problems. He was chair of the national youth charity the Woodcraft Folk and continues to be a trustee. He is a Forest Schools teacher, a Forest Bathing leader and a bushcraft instructor.
Samantha Awuah has been involved in play work and youth work across a variety of settings over the last 10 years. She also dedicated four years to supporting children and young people with social, emotional and mental health difficulties in an east London special school. Alongside her own professional devoplment, which includes an NVQ in play work and training in growth mindset and mindfulness techniques, she also has academic qualifications at the undergraduate and masters level in the areas of psychology and child development. Samantha is currently training to be an Educational Psychologist on a doctoral course at the University of East London.
Jon Nott works with co-operatives and voluntary organisations, specialising in governance, strategy and organisational development. His CV includes eight years as Chief Executive of Woodcraft Folk, the UK's co-operative youth movement, two years as Chief Executive of the Green Party and a decade in the peace movement including roles at CND, Conscience and Campaign Against Arms Trade. He chairs the board of Co-operative & Community Finance, serves as a Trustee of the Co-operative College and is actively involved with his local community orchard.
